‘The Lost Scripts of K.O.D.’ EP Released On iTunes

Apr 13 2010

“Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in!” – Michael Corleone, The Godfather III

Tech N9ne has released his first ever EP, The Lost Scripts of K.O.D. Strange Music owes much of it’s success to putting the fans first and The Lost Scripts of K.O.D. displays this business ethic in full-color. We sat down and talked to Tech to get the full-story on this EP release. Tech initially posted these song ideas on his fan-forum as things he had to get out of his system, but after K.O.D. was released, the songs were shelved. Tech desperately wanted to get away from the dark side he explored so in-depth on K.O.D.: “At that time I didn’t fully realize I wanted to get out of the darkness that was pulling me into a hole, and wanted to move onto lighter shit, more ‘Caribou Lou’ kind of party shit,” Tech told us, “but after awhile Travis (CEO, Strange Music) reminded me, ‘you know, you promised your fans those new songs right?'” Despite Tech’s desperate wishes to avoid revisiting the demons he explored on K.O.D., he stayed true to his promise, and went back to record The Lost Scripts of K.O.D., with songs like “Pain Killer” in which Tech writes about shooting himself. “I gave ’em what I said I would give ’em. It’s one that they should hold on to because there’s not going to be another one like it.” The Lost Scripts of K.O.D. is now available exclusively for download on iTunes.
