During his time in New York while he handled various business dealings and other things on his to-do list (including a visit to Riker’s Island to meet with Lil Wayne and talks with MTV), Tech N9ne stopped by the offices of XXL to do a live UStream broadcast for their weekly “Spotlight” show. As usual nothing could contain the over-brimming energy of Tech: once you get him going, he’s not going to stop. An interesting and little-known tidbit is dropped near the beginning as Tech broke down the origin of Caribou Lou.

Tech went on to give props to XXL for their six-page spread in their July issue, citing that eversince the article was published, his name has started to spread out into the mainstream, putting a “face to the name” of Tech N9ne. The interview goes on as tech candidly discusses various topics: the talent pool in Kansas City, his plans for All 6s and 7s, his favorite rappers and movie, and the breakdown of Strange Music’s success.
