Tech N9ne’s music has proven to be a powerful thing for many people. It can excite, energize, and motivate. For one young MC, it was nothing short of an inspiration. Thirteen year old Sam Freckmann is quickly becoming an overnight sensation. The seventh grader has found national fame through his own brand of hip hop, which he began showcasing on YouTube. Under the stage name J Byrd, Freckman first garnered national attention with his “Green And Yellow” remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black And Yellow”. Timed with the broadcast of Super Bowl XLV, the remix received nearly 1 million views on YouTube. Despite his quick success, Freckman felt discouraged and considered leaving music behind. That is until he met Tech N9ne:

“A while ago in January I wanted to quit so bad. Writing just got so annoying,” he said. But then he met his favorite rapper Tech9 at the studio.
“That got me so excited, and it makes me want to do this even more,” he said.

Freckman is currently finishing up a mixtape with DJ Hurricane. Freckman’s case is just another example of how Tech N9ne’s music can inspire and create a fire for passion. Click here to read the full article.
