XXL Reportedly Confirms Tech N9ne For Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter IV’

Published: July 11, 2011 in Tech N9ne by

Following his release from prison, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV has grown to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2011. Numerous delays have only fueled rumors and speculation as to who will make the final cut on the album. LilWayneHQ.com is now reporting that in the July/August 2011 issue of XXL magazine, Lil Wayne confirms some of the features on the album. The most noteworty name to make Wayne’s listing is none other than Tech N9ne. After the two collaborated earlier this year in Miami, fans have been eagerly anticipating the collaboration meant for Tha Carter IV. With “Fuck Food” appearing on Tech N9ne’s All 6’s And 7’s, this will mark the second collaboration between the two. Other names reportedly confirmed for Tha Carter IV include Nas, Shyne, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, Bun B, Cee-Lo Green, John Legend, and Will.i.am. No official tracklisting has been released yet, but if “Fuck Food” was any indication of what Tech and Wayne can do in the lab, then Tha Carter IV should have plenty of surprises for fans of both MCs.

I was disappointed with Lil Wayne’s contribution to “Fuck Food”. After witnessing B.O.B.’s transformation on the track and seeing how he was going as hard as Tech N9ne I anticipated Lil Wayne’s part and was severely let down. I’ll hope this collab is better.

I’m not a Lil Wayne fan AT ALL and I am a HUGE Tech fan, but to be honest and completely unbiased……I feel Lil Wayne had the better verse on that song. Believe me, I listened to it over and over trying to change my own mind, but I just got more confirmation. Now, in no means am I saying Lil Wayne is better or more talented, I honestly just think Tech didn’t put in 100% on it, maybe on purpose as to not outshine Wayne…..IDK but that is my opinion

  •  Tech did what he had to do.
Fuck Food is definitely an ALBUM SELLER.

  • The last half of Wayne’s verse was one of the best I’ve heard from him, and that says a lot because I honestly can’t stand 99% of his music. Almost felt as if he went through half his verse before realizing that he sounds awful in comparison to Tech and suddenly decided to step his game up for once in his life.

  • Honestly, I thought that Fuck Food was handily the worst track on All 6’s and 7’s. Just my opinion.

Fuck food was just a big FUCK YOU to the mainstream. Tech could have put him on ANY song, and had him say ANYTHING. Yet he put him on a JOKE track to show his technicians that he aint gotta sell out to sell records. That wayne collab could’ve been a hit single, with an MTV video, and Tech said FUCK FOOD. I respect that, and I can;t wait to see what wayne puts him on.
