With co-signs from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Game, Kendrick Lamar has been positioned to carry on a tremendously successful solo career. Kendrick recently sat down with The Well Versed to conduct a video interview regarding his success. Kendrick openly spoke about his responsibilities as an artist and the expectations that others have for him. Kendrick also discussed his relationship with label mate Jay Rock and recalled how they first met. Kendrick ended the interview by explaining the personal motivation that he and Jay Rock shared, insisting that if one of them was going to make it, the other would as well. Faced with the task of taking the West Coast to higher levels, Black Hippy is gearing up for a takeover.
