Having named Tech N9ne their 2011 Emcee Of The Year, HipHopDX.com continues to praise Tech N9ne’s efforts during his biggest year yet.

For their Year End Awards 2011, HipHopDX.com has compiled several lists of their top picks for the year. For day three of the awards, they released their pick for Verse Of The Year.

Taking top honors, Kendrick Lamar landed the coveted spot for his work on “Hiiipower”. Following up, Tech N9ne earned a runner up spot for his incredible guest feature on Lil Wayne’s “Interlude” from Tha Carter IV. Joining Tech N9ne as runner up was Pharoahe Monch for his lyrical showcase on “Evolve”. Both MCs demonstrated elite skill in 2011 and with such great talent having been nominated, runner up is nothing to brush off.

Tech’s “Interlude” verse is also a nominee for “Tech N9ne Verse Of The Year” in the 2011 Strange Music MVP Awards. Make sure you vote before the ballots close this Friday!
