The South Florida music scene is alive with originality and unparalleled diversity. With so many cultural influences in the area, it’s easy to see how bands like ¡MAYDAY! have come together to represent the very best of Miami.

PasteMagazine.com recently compiled their “10 Bands Out Of South Florida You Should Listen To Now” list. Looking to expose readers to a wider variety of great musicians from the southern territory, the list included names like ANR, Rachel Goodrich, and ¡MAYDAY! Highlighting their indie success, the feature gave readers a brief history lesson:

With supporters that include Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled and Tech N9ne, this Miami hip-hop collective got its start from a collaboration with Cee-Lo Green in 2006. Since then, they’ve released two LPs, three EPs, a mixtape and most recently, MC Wrekonize joined Tech N9ne on his new single, “Blur.” ¡Mayday! will release its third full length album and Strange Music debut, Take Me To Your Leader on March 26.

Preparing to hit the road on Tech N9ne’s “Hostile Takeover 2012” Tour, ¡MAYDAY! will also be busy with the release of Take Me To Your Leader on 3/26. The Miami group is quickly proving to be one of the best collectives of any region. Stay tuned for more from ¡MAYDAY!
