That’s how Stevie Stone remembers the first time he opened for Tech N9ne in 2000, a performance that would forever change the course of his life.

Speaking with STLToday.com, Stevie Stone recently sat down for an exclusive interview regarding his work with Strange Music and what it’s been like to travel the country on the Hostile Takeover 2012 Tour. Touching on various topics, Stevie Stone revealed his decision to turn to music as a career despite pursuing an athletic scholarship with a full ride at a university.

It was that bold decision that saw the emcee move to St. Louis in full pursuit of a music career and ultimately, catch the eye of Tech N9ne and Strange Music. With his goals still set high, Stevie Stone’s decision to follow a life of music has certainly paid off.
