'Inspired' – ¡MAYDAY!'s Wrekonize Blogs On Upcoming Solo Project

Jan 8 2013

If you’ve kept an eye on ¡MAYDAY! lately, then you know those guys are moving.

After ending 2012 with their Smash And Grab mixtape, Strange Music’s Miami crew is gearing up for the release of their second album under the Snake and Bat as well as Wrek’s first solo album.

Eager and inspired to finally drop his long-awaited solo effort, Wrek took to his own personal blog to drop a few words for fans:

This year will not only mark the release of our fourth ¡MAYDAY! album (second on Strange) but it will also mark a personal milestone for me. This year i will release my first officially released & widely distributed solo album. In 2006 i came close to this dream when i almost dropped an album on the Miami indie label Southbeat Records. It unfortunately couldn’t be completed and released before Southbeat closed it’s doors. I really can’t even put into words how fucking hype I am for this upcoming release. It’s been a goal of mine for as long as I can remember and to be honest, until the day i can go to the store and see my album up on the shelf I won’t even believe it’s truly going to happen.

Wrek finished the blog by promising an announcement this week as well as noting that he will be writing more blogs for fans.

It’s a good year to be a ¡MAYDAY! fan.
