With the most electrifying hip hop tour of 2014 underway, the accolades are pouring in.

This review of Tech N9ne’s Independent Grind Tour 2014 with Freddie Gibbs, Jarren Benton and The Psych Ward Druggies just goes to show that Tech’s stage presence and showstopping abilities are only getting stronger as his entity gets bigger and bigger. Lucas G. of RefinedHype was able to make the proceedings and came away stunned by his first Tech N9ne Experience.

Lucas explains that he’s heard of a Tech N9ne show, knew there was a lot of hype behind it, and was finally able to witness that Tech does indeed live up to everything they say he is. He also gives propers where it’s due for Strange Music’s consummate professionalism and ability to run a top notch show in any venue or space.

Peep game from his review:

So, a great show, yes, but did it live up to the reputation?

Hell…fucking…yes. Tech may not be my absolute favorite emcee (I am more of a boom-bap guy) but there are very few emcees who I respect more than him. Everything Strange Music does has the highest emphasis on quality and that extends to the live shows. There were so many moving parts to this show, from the sets, to their own sound guys, to the array of stagehands running around and to the impressive merch table (Strange Music socks anyone?), but they all went off seemingly without a hitch.
