Ever listen to Tech N9ne and had to rewind a part…over and over? That’s something we’ve all done, whether it’s to catch his skills of poetry, the incredible flow patterns or just to wonder what the hell he just said, Tech N9ne will wear out the rewind button.

For the last reason mentioned, Tech earned himself a spot in VIBE’s list: “Say What? A History Of Rappers We Can’t Understand”.

Check out what they had to say.

“The Rapper: Tech N9ne
Why He Is So Hard to Understand: He raps almost as fast as Twista does.
Why We Love Him Anyway: The Kansas City rapper’s grind is like no other. And that’s not hyperbole. Although he’s not signed to a major label, he has consistently landed on the Forbes list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings due to the success of his Strange Music label and the fact that he tours the country on an almost non-stop basis. He’s gotten some well-deserved praise in recent years, too, thanks to a cosign from Lil Wayne and songs like “Am I A Psycho?” featuring B.o.B and Hopsin.”

In my opinion, Tech and Krizz Kaliko are truely something else compared to the rest of the industry. Tech’s incredible talent with language and Kaliko’s superb vocals will forever impact the industry.

  • Chad Howe

Personally I find the fact that he’s worked with Wayne as a negative thing. He said he’d never go mainstream but then turned around and did a track with the most marketed rapper in the history of rap. Luckily his music is still untainted, but he had me scared there for a while.

  • Eren

It doesn’t matter if he works with mainstream rappers as long as it doesn’t compromise his artistry, style and it doesn’t affect his music. Yes, he worked with Wayne, but the song was dope as hell.

  • Ralphy

Besides, he said he “would never go mainstream, mainstream would go Tech”. and its true. Wayne featured on one of his tracks and Tech got an entire track to himself on the Carter IV. Imo thats not a bad thing. He kept his word and honestly that was a good marketing technique.
