Word to the wise: MURS doesn’t care if you run up on him with a bunch of bars. In fact, he probably wishes you would just peace out (and Have A Nice Life while you’re at it).
Hip hop is probably the only genre where on-the-spot auditions happen every single day. When do you ever hear of a guitar player running up on Keith Richards? It doesn’t, but in hip hop we hear the stories of how an emcee was able to impress one of his or her idols and earn themselves a deal (see Big Sean), and alas, rappers often get auditioned without asking for it.
MURS chimed in with his response to anyone who thinks it might be a good idea to run up on him with a hot 16.
