MURS

MURS discusses Baltimore and the death of Freddie Gray in this POWERFUL interview with TheBoombox.com.

With the latest incidents happening in Baltimore, it becomes very difficult for artists to keep quiet about their opinions. Luckily, there are those that communicate their thoughts in a forward-moving manner, including MURS. He was featured in an interview on TheBoombox.com discussing what truly is going on in Baltimore. According to MURS, police-on-black crime is only a fraction of the problem.

The man who already addressed the issue with the song “No More Control” said the following:

“Having my friends being shot and killed by other black men more than the police, it’s a more legitimate fear and it’s a bigger problem in our community cause we’re not loving ourselves. So when we march against the police, but we’re still killing ourselves, it’s almost hypocritical at some point. Nobody marched when my family was murdered by gangbangers and to me, that’s just as tragic or even more tragic because he was killed by people who know our struggle.”
