Over the years, hip hop has seen a shift in the world of skateboarding, with certain emcees leading the way.

MURS is one of them. Along with artists like Pharrell, Lupe Fiasco and Hopsin, the Have A Nice Life emcee has been one of the frontrunners in the kick push subculture within hip hop.

Skating since the 1980s, Murs has been an active skater long before it became a trend. Making no secret of his love for the art “Transitions Az A Ridah” and “Skatin Through The City” (the latter from his new LP Have A Nice Life) explain what it was to be an outcast for pursuing this hobby in his narrow-minded section of Los Angeles.
