With over 25 years of experience, the respect of legendary emcees like Snoop, and of course, the Snake & Bat cosign, Brotha Lynch Hung being well known should come as no surprise. Still sometimes, when a Strange-affiliated artist gets love from a celebrity (like say, The Rock working out to Tech and Stevie Stone), it serves as a “holy shit”reminder of how big all of this really is.
Well, today’s reminder comes courtesy of Lebron James. On Monday, the three time NBA champion, four time NBA MVP, and 13 time all-star posted a video on his Instagram story of him listening to Sacramento legend Brotha Lynch Hung’s “Rest In Piss” off 1995’s Season of da Siccness.
It’s pretty cool to see that Lebron, one of the most popular athletes in the world, and a Ohio native, is a fan of Lynch’s West Coast bars; not only has Lynch’s music made it’s way across the U.S. but it’s made it’s way up to one of the biggest names in sports.
You never know, maybe Lebron will catch Brotha Lynch Hung on stage as part of the Strictly Strange Tour which kicks off next month.
