News of Tech N9ne’s staggering first week sales of All 6’s And 7’s has become reason enough for everybody in the music industry to finally take notice. TheBoomBox.com has published a feature focusing on Tech’s recent success, and notes:

“Tech N9ne‘s 12th studio record, ‘All 6’s and 7’s’ debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the Rap Albums chart, after moving 55,806 units. His last effort, 2010’s ‘The Gates Mixed Plate,’ released roughly a year ago, sold only around 50,000 copies total.”

The feature also cites Tech’s recent interview with MTV in which he discusses the worth of Strange Music, and his refusal to give into major labels. Armed with a loyal following and an independent grind, Tech N9ne is rewriting the rules of the music business.
