During the Independent Grind Tour’s triumphant homecoming stop in Kansas City for a show at the Uptown Theater, we were able to catch up with Top Dawg Entertainment’s very own Compton-MC Kendrick Lamar for this exclusive interview. Kendrick, who acted as Jay Rock’s hypeman on the tour and has recently been receiving a lot of attention since Dr. Dre cosigned him and asked him to work on Detox, was able to talk about the tour, his thoughts on Strange Music, and his Overly Dedicated EP.
