  • Technician I am wholeheartedly In Life and In Death!

  • Promethearx

All the heat, all the controversy, all the disloyalty and defamation, I felt it was time we gave back to the one who has given everything.
Tech, I put this together as a way of showing my personal appreciation, but I speak for a great many unheard and unseen fans who, while you were screaming FUCK THE INDUSTRY, were playing your music and whispering it.
I think maybe one day I’ll get up the courage to recite the pledge, when I feel I’ve earned it. Until then, get All 6’s and 7’s on iTunes, PLEASE!

  • Listen, whatever your perception of what’s happening to his music happens to be, it’s subjective to the point of irrelevance. Artistic development is not for us to understand. What he is doing, where he is going are all the results of his maturation as an artist. Who are you, who am I, who are any of us to determine his genius or his validity? The greatest artists who’ve ever lived, Hemingway, Salinger, Lennon, Morrison, M. Davis, Beethoven all reached a very distinct moment in their public lives where they at once felt and were rejected by their most loyal of followers. It’s because genius is defined by being ahead of the times, by observing and understanding the world in some, although seemingly insignificant, vastly different way. That is why their work persists through history. We read their books and poems, and listen to their music, but we know nothing of their lives. And, fortunately, we don’t have to and they didn’t want us to. Try and understand what it’s like to be as cold as he is lyrically, as potent as he is socially and as driven as he is philosophically and then try and understand the villainous contradiction that is modern music. It’s the unstoppable force against the immovable object and Tech is doing nothing but attempting to reach an equilibrium.

Tech, you’re music has helped me in so many ways I don’t even know where to begin. When I’m feeling depressed and suicidal your music is almost always the only thing holding me back from taking my life. That’s not to get attention, I could give a less of a shit if you feel bad for me or not, but that’s the truth. You’re dedicated, you work your ass off, and you’re my role model in life.
