Blazing the stage at South by Southwest this past week, Jay Rock and the members of Black Hippy made quite the impression on the Austin crowd. The Los Angeles Times has published an article highlighting the West Coast collective and their contribution to hip hop. Crediting Black Hippy for helping bring back groups in hip hop, the article praises their live performance:
“They rapped like they had a gun to their head, or like Dennis Rodman chasing a rebound and leaping four rows into the stands to get it.”
