Rest In Peace Nate Dogg: Paying Respect To A Legend

Mar 16 2011

After several health scares late in the last decade, West Coast and hip hop legend, Nate Dogg, passed away on Tuesday evening. One of the pioneers in the G-funk era of the 90s, Nate Dogg had worked with everyone from Dr. Dre (“Deeez Nuuuts”) Snoop Dogg (“Aint No Fun”), Warren G, Eminem, and even had multiple collaborations with Tupac (“Skandalouz”, “All Bout U”, “How Long Will They Mourn Me?”). His time spent with Death Row Records saw his rise in popularity and the release of his biggest single to date, “Regulate”,with Warren G. Nate’s career spanned two decades and saw him collaborate on over 40 top charting singles, including hits like: “Till I Collapse”, “Shake That”, “The Next Episode”, and “Gangsta Nation”.

As hip hop grieves the loss of a legend, Strange Music artists have been paying their respects over Twitter. No doubt an influence on all of hip hop, Nate Dogg will be missed. We encourage all of our fans to leave comments of support for Nate Dogg and his family below.
