During an interview DUBCNN.com, Tech spoke directly from his tour bus about Jay Rock and Black Hippy. With Jay Rock and Krizz Kaliko sitting next to him, Tech went on to praise the several talents of Black Hippy and gave them a huge comparison:

“I knew he was a MC and that he rolled with MC’s like Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar – Black Hippy. That’s the new N.W.A. to me. I’m trying to get my money up so I can get them all over here!”

Tech also explains how it is that he first encountered Jay Rock and why exactly it is that he wanted him on Strange Music. As Follow Me Home continues to push on during its release, it’s clear to see why Tech N9ne is after the entire Black Hippy collective. Thanks to a unique style and unstoppable work ethic, Jay Rock and Black Hippy are slowly taking over the entire world of hip hop.
