No one can appreciate the hard work that went into All 6’s And 7’s more than Tech N9ne. Through all of the controversy and outright rejection from some fans, Tech pushed on to create an album that was perfect to his vision. The carefully placed guest features, stellar production, and growth as an artist all helped shape the album into Tech’s best yet. Recently, Tech sat down for an interview with AllHipHop.com to explore almost every inch of the album. Tech broke down the meanings behind All 6’s And 7’s, and also gave some insight on the structuring of the album:
“I do my albums like it’s a DJ playing, non-stop. Just like our show goes non-stop—everything is connected somehow—that’s what I do with the albums, because I want you to listen to all the songs. I want you to listen, so I connect them all. But, the way I do it, I’ll always do it in sections. The first section of All 6’s And 7’s is way aggressive with ‘Technicians,’ and ‘Am I a Psycho,’ and ‘He’s A Mental Giant,’ ‘Worldwide Choppers,’ ‘I Love Music,’ and all that lyrical s***.”
Looking into the future, Tech also suggests that a collaboration with Trae The Truth may be in the works very soon. The lengthy interview gives fans a look at the inner workings of a real mental giant.
