Thanks to albums like Anghellic and K.O.D., Tech N9ne has always found a way to use his music as an outlet for his spiritual struggle. Torn by the harsh realities of life and his own religious beliefs, Tech maintains that he is constantly in a tug of war. Speaking to OnMilwaukee.com, Tech opened up about his personal conflicts, the state of Midwest hip hop, and the buzz around All 6’s And 7’s. On why the Midwest produces so much dark music, Tech explains:
“I think it’s because we’re right dab in the middle, man. You know what I’m sizzlin’? We get it from the West, we get it from the East, we get it from the South. We get it from all different directions. If you’re there, to take it all in, it’s musical overload.”
During the lenghty feature Tech also touches on his motivation behind staying off drugs and the process that it took to execute some of the collaborations on All 6’s And 7’s. Fans in Milwaukee can see the tortured soul of Tech N9ne in person when he hits The Rave on July 14.
