You remember our boy Yelawolf from the Alabama section of “Worldwide Choppers” off of Tech N9ne’s All 6’s And 7’s. Here he is in redyset’s video of BootlegKev interviewing him in anticipation of his new album Radioactive – from Shady Records.
Yelawolf talks about how it was to work with Kid Rock – who has his own brand of Jim Beam(?!) – as well as how amazing it is to be on a headlining tour proclaiming –
“I’ll take a thousand of my fans to five-thousand of another artist’s fans…these fans are family.”
Fast forward to about the 8:45 mark of the interview to hear Yelawolf talk about how he wants to add his verse from “Worldwide Choppers” – “What if I ran into you wit’ a Pogo stick? – Hopped up on top of you rappers like a Jehovah’s Witness?…” – to his upcoming Radioactive tour, and how he needs to learn it again.
After discussing the possibility of the verse on the tour, Yelawolf talks about his writing process – akin to Eminem’s notorious method of writing on anything he has at the moment – and shows a crumpled airplane schedule with a verse on it.
The last topic they discuss is the 2011 BET Cypher – another common ground between Yelawolf and Tech N9ne – and how, at the last minute, they (BET) changed it from the original 16-bars , and how every other artist was doing 32-42 bars, he joked
“Next year’s Cypher, I’m spitting 198 bars!”
