2016 is not over quite yet for Mackenzie Nicole.

With AMA weekend in full swing, Mackenzie Nicole and Strange Music CEO Travis O’Guin made a quick trip out to LA and sat down for some insightful interviews with their friends at 95.7 The Vibe, Houston’s KRBE, and more.

During her sit down with Brodie of 95.7, Mackenzie Nicole further addressed negativity on the internet and how it inspired her latest single, “Deleted”:

“I love reading hate comments sometimes, because they’re so inarticulate. I’m not insulted that you commented this, I’m insulted because you didn’t take the time to tell me what I should be even be insulted by. If you can’t even spell my name right, why am I going to take life advice from you?”

The young star also expressed her love for Christmas time, and discussed her upcoming performance with Tove Lo and Zara Larsson:

“To stand along side two artists that I look up to, both are absolutely amazing gals in the business. I love everything they’re doing. I think they’re both incredible and I cannot wait to stick it with them.”
