Recap: Interview With JL Of B. Hood

Apr 20 2011

In case you missed it, last month Strange Music did an exclusive interview with rapper JL of B. Hood. You may remember JL, one-third of Kansas City’s B. Hood, from his feature on The Gates Mixed Plate track “Far Out” alongside Stevie Stone and P.R.E.A.C.H.

JL told Strange Music Blogs that he wrote his first rap at the age of nine. “I’ve been doing this thing for a minute,” JL said. JL, a Kansas City native, said being raised in the inner city has helped him be more hardcore. “You couldn’t be a little bitch,” JL said of living in the neighborhoods he grew up in.
