In many ways, if it wasn’t for Erick Sermon and EPMD, Tech N9ne may not have pursued his now successful career in music.

While still in highschool, Tech N9ne won the opportunity to open for major hip hop duo EPMD at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City. The performance day happened to land on the same day as Tech’s highschool graduation. With dreams of being a hip hop star, Tech chose to miss his graduation walk and instead performed with EPMD on that day. Decades later, Tech N9ne stands as the top independent hip hop act in the country. Now, it looks as though Tech may finally work with the very MC that motivated him to chase his dream. A recent update on Twitter suggests that Tech and Erick Sermon recently met, and as always, it can only lead to bigger things.

Will we finally see a collaboration between the two artists? What about EPMD as a whole? Fans will have to wait and see, but as fans know, with Tech N9ne anything is possible.
