It looks like the time has come for Jay Rock to bring his rugged West Coast flows to the BET Hip Hop Awards. A leaked production schedule from BET indicates that the Strange Music/Top Dawg Entertainment MC will be taking part in the first Cypher segment of the night with XV, Chris Sutton, and Gilbere Forte. The Cypher segments have become a staple of the BET Hip Hop Awards and past names include: Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Ice Cube, Joe Budden, and Mos Def. Carrying on the tradition, Jay Rock steps into the Cypher and puts it down while Tech N9ne takes part in his own Cypher later in the same night.

Fans may remember that the rumors of Jay Rock participating first started on Twitter when XV tweeted a short message to Tech N9ne indicating that Jay Rock had been present at the filming of the Cyphers. Fans can expect to hear the absolute best from Jay Rock as he prepares to put it down for Strange Music and Top Dawg Entertainment.

The 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards are scheduled to air on October 11 at 8 PM/7 PM CST. Stay tuned for more as it develops!
