The recently leaked list of Cypher performers for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards has created quite a buzz online. With Tech N9ne listed along names like Machine Gun Kelly, Big K.R.I.T., B.o.B, and Kendrick Lamar, fans are excited to see Strange Music finally represented at the awards show. Even so, there are still those who believe Tech N9ne has not been fully recognized by BET.

The nominations for the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards have been released, and much to the fans’ disappointment, Tech N9ne is not up for any awards. That hasn’t kept critics from voicing their opinions though, as XXL showed Tech N9ne some support by tweeting that he should have been nominated for the Best Live Performer Award. The award recognizes hip hop artists with high energy stage shows and past winners include Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Busta Rhymes. This year’s nominations for Best Live Performer are: Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Cee Lo Green, and Jay-Z. With Tech N9ne absent from the nominees, XXL and fans have made it a point to cry foul on Twitter. Perhaps after Tech’s Cypher segment, BET will finally nominate Tech N9ne in 2012.
