The album might have dropped in April, but the accolades keep rolling in for Rittz and The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant.
The Source just compiled their list of their top 10 albums of 2013 (so far) and Rittz made number 9 on the list with his album debut.
The Source says:
The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant marks as Rittz’ studio album debut and with Strange Music backing the Georgia MC there is no doubt that his debut effort made impressive moves since its release. Rittz garnered the attention of the masses with his hit single ‘Switch Lanes’ with crooner Mike Posner on the assist, but The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant provides more than just one hit single. Though the climb for the Southern MC has been slow, now that he’s stepped into the spotlight, Rittz wastes no time letting the words flow right off his tongue. Executing a successful debut album can be a daunting feat but he capitalizes on the challenge and delivers an album of personal struggle mixed with hope that truly allows the MC to shine. Rittz’ construction of impressive tracks with the likes of Big K.R.I.T, Yelawolf, Krizz Kaliko and Tech N9ne himself, gave ‘The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant’ the tools to most definitely impress.
