Tech Wayne

There’s no doubt about it, Tech’s inclusion on Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV album garnered us a TON of new Technicians, but did you know Tech regards it as the highlight of his career so far?

Recently, XXL published a feature in which they asked 11 rappers about the high point of their career. Tech’s story was published alongside names like Big Boi, Curren$y, Killer Mike, and Ice Cube.

When asked about the high point of his career, Tech described his surprise upon being mentioned by Lil’ Wayne when asked by Funkmaster Flex who he wanted to collaborate with next:

“I couldn’t believe that Wayne hit me up for Tha Carter IV. And never met me. Couldn’t believe that. I’ve always been the outcast.”

Of course as we know, Tech went on to appear with Andre 3000 on the track “Interlude”, launching Tech into a whole new level of public awareness.
