How do you top a masterpiece with another one? This is the dilemma that faces Tech N9ne and Seven every time they make another project together, and they’ll be faced with that problem again when they make The Storm.

Tech N9ne’s next album will be an homage to his album The Calm Before The Storm, which features songs like “Questions”, “Now It’s On” and “Mitchell Bade”, and has since been regarded as a landmark for Kansas City music. Entitled The Storm, Tech’s 2016 solo release will have to top his previous album Special Effects, no easy task when you consider the subject matter over the epic productions from Seven.

Tech N9ne and Seven talk about the task ahead of them in this interview with HotNewHipHop. The emcee/production duo drops hints as to what they’d like to accomplish with the next album and the ways they’ll go about achieving it.

The two have a few laughs along the way, finding out things they never knew about the other despite all the years they’ve been working together.
