Last week, Mackenzie Nicole hosted a listening session for her debut album The Edge, at Stangeland Studios here in KC.
Between meeting fans, taking pictures, hosting a Q & A session and even baking cookies for the attendees, Mackenzie had a lot on her plate. It didn’t, however, stop her from sitting down with Jared of Ink Magazine, for a live interview.
In addition to an interview, Jared also got a grand tour and kept a watchful eye on all the goings on during the event, which he broke down in his article, “5 things I learned at a Strange Music listening party for Mackenzie Nicole”
At the end of the listening segment, Tech N9ne — who co-founded Strange with Travis O’Guin — introduced Mackenzie (O’Guin’s younger daughter) to the group for a Q&A, where fans asked her about the record. In a world of distracted smartphone addicts, it rejuvenated me to see people genuinely excited about something happening in the present.
Though you don’t need it thanks to Jared’s breakdown, we also provided you with a visual recap of the event!
