During their time in Toronto performing at the 2009 Rock The Bells hip hop festival, Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko took the time between activities for an interview with This Is The North.

Tech addressed the nature of being an independent artist citing that “Red Nose” was not your prototypical single, but he was able to use it anyways because he has creative control being with Strange Music. Tech addresses the internet-revolution, and says the internet helped him a lot and made it able to create fans in foreign lands like Switzerland, Turkey and Amsterdam.

Krizz Kaliko is featured in the second half of the interview: he addresses the title of his album and states he calls it Genius “because I mean it!” Krizz goes on to break down the origin of the title. He closes by sharing his thoughts on working with Tech N9ne, who serves as a friend and an inspiration in his musical career.
