Some of you may already be familiar with Decatur, GA rapper Jarren Benton from his tour run with Rittz and Snow Tha Product late in 2013. For those of you still sleeping on him, we’ve got a quick rundown for you before you catch him on the Independent Grind Tour!

After being in the game for nearly a decade, Jarren signed with the independent powerhouse Funk Volume in 2012 after entertaining offers from both Def Jam and Interscope. As an emcee also focused on his family, Hopsin’s label has given him the ability to pursue music while keeping their best interests in mind.

Jarren exhibits a unique style in all of his work, employing serious amounts of humor without compromising his lyricism. His first mixtape and album, respectively, released by Funk Volume, Freebasing with Kevin Bacon and My Grandma’s Basement, boast big name features including 2 Chainz, Lil Jon, R.A. the Rugged Man and Strange Music’s own Rittz.

Rounding out Jarren Benton as an artist is his dedication to putting on a dope live show. From an early age, Jarren recognized the importance of the live aspect of hip hop and his stage antics do not go unnoticed. With an excellent reception from Rittz’s Life and Times Tour, we can’t wait to see how his high-energy set fits into a Tech N9ne show!
