Between his recent spike in notoriety and the release of his new album, All 6’s And 7’s, Tech N9ne is experiencing quite a turn in the spotlight. RubyHornet.com recently published a new interview with the Kansas City King, in which he discusses everything from the making of All 6’s And 7’s to his famous face paint. Explaining the origin of the face paint, Tech recalled:
” In Kansas City there was a thing that scared us when we were little, there was a myth. There was a guy that kidnapped kids. It was said that he was out to get children. They called him the killer clown. He scared all of us. We were always looking for the yellow van. They said he drove a yellow van and he picked kids up… There was this whole mystique about the killer clown, but he was never real. And I thought that was amazing. I started wearing my hair wild and people said I looked like bozo and s**t, and my boy Brian Dennis painted my face one day for this C-Bo and Brotha Lynch Hung show back in the day.”
