Artists never know when their shot will come. For some it takes years, for others, it may come sooner than they think. Either way, they have to be ready. At just 19 years old, Jay Trilogy was ready. Standing out among thousands of entries, the Illinois native, Jay Trilogy, won the Warrior Built Contest and earned the chance to record a song and shoot a video with Tech N9ne. Their collaboration resulted in “PTSD (Warrior Built),” a song that has amassed over 2 million views in just a matter of a few months and led to Jay Trilogy becoming one of the newest members of the Strange Music family. It wasn’t just the success of the one song, though, that lead to him inking a deal. In his short time collaborating and bonding with Tech N9ne, Jay Trilogy demonstrated that even with the fresh sound and hunger of a young emcee, he is driven by delivering message-driven and broad-reaching hip-hop. Jay Trilogy has already demonstrated worthy of the Snake & Bat chain, impressing alongside the whole Strange Music roster on Strange Reign album’s lead cut “Cold Piece of Work” and dazzling a crowd of 10,000 Technicians at Red Rocks just weeks after being signed. In 2017 alone Jay Trilogy turned his shot into a deal, demonstrated why he was worthy of both, and has fans excited for more. Already a remarkable story, this only the beginning.
